Biography
Kevin John Emmerson Simpson, 48, of Lower Branch (formerly of Dartmouth) passed away suddenly at SSRH due to a severe stroke on April 23, 2011 with his family by his side. Born in Fredericton, NB, Kevin is the only son of Marilyn K. McPhee of Dartmouth, NS.
Kevin started working as an EMT for Walker�s Regional Ambulance Service, continuing his career as a paramedic with BC EMS, as well as several private ambulance services in both British Columbia and Alberta. Kevin also worked in the film industry as both an on-screen paramedic, and as stunt standby on set. After the birth of his son, he started working in medical supply sales. Having a passion for driving, he worked as a limo driver in Vancouver, and most recently driving a taxi in Bridgewater. He enjoyed detailing cars and puttering with electronics. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survived by his wife Sandra, Bridgewater; his son, Chase (Lori), Moncton NB; and step-father Frank McPhee, Dartmouth. Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents, John & Hazel Boutilier of Dartmouth, N.S.
Kevin's wishes to donate organs and tissue have been fulfilled, and cremation has taken place under the care of Donald K. Walker Funeral Home. A graveside ceremony will take place on Friday, May 13th at 2:00PM at Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit. His family will share memories with friends at the United Church Hall, Middle Musquodoboit immediately following the service.
