We are a blues/rock trio and all ctlernury attend Launceston Grammar. We are very keen to participate in this years Rock Challenge but have not yet been able to enter because our school was never sent the registration form. I have found your site and downloaded the registration form and the info form. Our query is to ask if we can enter as an independent band. We have only recently been allowed to practice at school in lunchtimes, because the music program at grammar is very classically based.Cheers,James Hunt,Missing lInks. a0 Memory by Kathleen McVey Aug 9, 2010 Dear Tim, I will always remember you as a beautiful little boy who grew to become a good, kind and generous man with a wonderful, ready smile. You were also a man of many, many talents many of which have already been shared, but I can add another... I will always remember the awesome smoked fish you presented Mike and I one afternoon. It was amazing. Timmy, I was blessed to have you as my cousin. I know you are at peace in heaven and that I will carry you, Cousin, in my heart until we meet again. Love, Cousin Kathleen Memory by Bob Walker Jul 29, 2010 Diane and I spent a lot of time with Tim and Audrey when they first got together. We have great memories of our times at the beach and over dinners and in Tim's shop, making surfboards. He was a very talented shaper and craftsman, and his boards worked great. I still have a "Noonan Rocket" in perfect condition. He called everyone "bob"...I was "bob bob" and Diane was "di bob". His enthusiasm and good vibes were contagious...we will miss him...our best to his family and friends...with love, Bob and Diane Walker Memory by Sheila Nichols Jul 27, 2010 I am Tims Aunt, his Fathers sister. My husband Tom,and I had two wonderful visits with Tim,Audrey, and Ian at our home in Deer Isle.He was a precious dear man.Perhaps a year ago,he called me out of the blue he was in Mexico, and said he'd like to make another visit to Maine. It is too sad that he is gone.We send our love and blessings to you Tim.Aunt Sheila and Uncle Tom Memory by John Kentera Jul 26, 2010 I will always remember Tim as being a great friend and neighbor who always took the time to check up on me and my family. We had numerous chats through the years and our neighborhood has never seemed quite the same without him!! Tim planted our yard for us after our remodel and it looks great to this day. We tell everyone about his giving nature and kind spirit. May you rest in peace Tim. God Bless you! Memory by Cousin Beth Chotiner Jul 25, 2010 "My special kindred spirit Timbo: Who followed his dreams where ever he chose to, and touched the lives of everyone that was blessed to call him family, friend or foe. I will always admire Tim for following his heart. I feel blessed to call him my cousin but most of all my Dear friend. Every ocean I see, every fish I catch, I will remember him with love. Mahalo my Dear one until we meet again.""
Memory by Nancy Jul 25, 2010 I have many memories of Tim..from the first time I met him at the Cove over 30 years ago, lying in the sand, to the last time I saw him, only weeks ago, as he watched the Indy 500 with his brother from a hospital bed. At all times, I remember Tim to be a man of humor. Like his father, Tim loved the Irish and he always had a funny joke or two to tell with his own Irish brogue. Over the years I have watched him as a talented woodworker, an avid surfer and a proud Papa. Tim had so many gifts..all of them creative. I have benefited from his awesome cooking and eclectic taste in music. He loved to read and always knew the sports stats. Most of all, I will remember Tim for his love of his family and friends. He had a big heart and he kept us all inside. While we have not always lived close by Tim, I am thankful that he came to live in Trinidad briefly so our kids could come to know him better. I was also so glad that Tom and I made it to see him before he took his final journey home. His eyes lit up when Tom walked into the room and you could feel the love between them. I will miss that little twinkle in your eye. I will keep your memory forever in my heart and in our home, brother Tim(bob) Memory by Floyd / Dougie Jul 25, 2010 One year Tim Bob, Audi, Ibo and I went to visit the Adams' and the Noonans up in Trinidad, We brought the bicycles, Tim and I took off on them after Salmon fishing and Dinner with everyone, it was pitch dark out, of course our heading was to the seedy Pub nearby, we parked our bikes in back, went in, to my surprise there were some rather unsavory characters hanging around, I was finagled into playing pool with some large hairy guy's. I lost sight of Timmy. I hurried up , lost the game, went to find him, of course he had made friends with a couple of these guys and were hanging around in the back out of sight, kinda. I was pretty sure the guy's were up to no good and I got Tim to come back, sit on a bench in the Light behind the Bar. The fella's he was talking to went inside. Tim had talked to these boys about something or other, and was watching the back door, I was just fine hanging out back with our beer chatting. The next thing we heard was a loud crash, a bar fight (we thought) we stood up to listen, and at the back door, filling up the whole doorway, was a very, very, large, bearded logger looking fellow, he had to bend down to get his head low enough to look out, figuring this was the only guy left standing in the bar, I was terrified. Tim Bob said "Hi", wanted to make friends, when the guy looked utterly astounded at Timmy's friendly approach, there was a short pause, the man only grunted, then Tim said to me: "Floyd", "Back up slowly to the bike" he was keeping an eye on the guy and when he made a move towards us Tim said: "GO!" We split up tearing out of there in different directions. I could see and hear others coming out the back to what I thought was cheering for us to get away. The guy was left standing there as we circled to get a glimpse of what happened. I can still hear Timmy's hoots and howls as we rode back to the Motel. The next day, Bruce had caught wind of it as it was a small town, and said the guys that Timmy was taking to were thieves about to hurt him and rob him and the big guy was there to get rid of the unsavory characters. Tim of course was talking their ear off and delayed them back in. I suppose the noise we heard were these guys getting thrown out. Tim had a flair for the dramatic, if it wasn't quite fun enough, or thought you might be disappointed in his original plan or idea, he found a way to, well, liven things up somehow. This is just one in a multitude of exhilarating moments with my Brother Timothy Shane. He also shaped me the best surfboard I ever had. Thank you everyone for taking care of my friend, and me. God bless Timothy his family and all of our fiends. We're all "Off to see the Wizard" at some point, and I'll see you there Tim. Memory by Greg Sisson Jul 24, 2010 I'll never forget our three mile paddle one way to go surf from the foggy navy base on Coronado to Ralphs in Point Loma. Timbo, Jarhead and I each paddled two boards across. Tim would have been the first one to go if God had his way. We could have lost you then, but I'm glad you hung out for another 35 years. Surf Naked with God Bro. Aloha. Memory by Susie Noonan Page Jul 18, 2010
"Tim was a free spirit from the time he was born, he always took the road less traveled with no specific destination in mind. I am so glad I got to see him, after so many years, when I was visiting our brother Tom. He was kind and caring and had a good heart,a lot like our Dad, if he could help you he would whether it was feasible or not. We will miss him.
Memory by Diane Jul 16, 2010 Tim has been The Man in my life for the past 8 years.Though our realationship was, as they say, complicated, it was never ever boring. I learned a lot from Tim-all about Polo--how to tell if the waves are right for surfing--the names -words and history of every song that played on the radio.
Tim genuinely loved people. He enjoyed being helpful and always there to fix a broken surfboard , or repair whatever needed to be done. He was the man with the right tools for the job. His love for living in Baja was obvious to all who knew him. He just woke up happy and full of energy. I called it the Tim Spin. At his memorial here in Cantamar on the beach, so many of his friends young and not so young remarked about his generous nature and his quick wit. He was loved and left a legacy of kindness and caring.
Most of all Tim loved his family. He was so proud of his big Irish clan. They showed their love for him especially during his illness, and their loving support and concern helped us both through the darkest hours. With their help, I was able to say Good-bye to my best friend. Miss you mucho Timbo!" Diane Memory by Audrey Jul 12, 2010 We met at Swami's. Our first date was a picnic at the Wild Animal Park, wine and cheese and Jose Felicano singing "Light My Fire". We were young and very much in love. On our wedding day we surfed Seaside with Greg and Joyce Sisson. We had many happy days at the beach, bonfires, pot lucks and many Little league and soccer games with Ian. Tim Loved kids and had a big heart and a hearty Irish sense of humor and laughter. We miss him. Memory by Audrey Jul 12, 2010 Death Man is like the foam of the sea, that floats upon the surface of the water. When the wind blows, it vanishes, as if it had never been. Thus are our lives blown away by Death. The reality of life is life itself, whose beginning is not in the womb and whose ending is not in the grave. For the years that pass are naught but a moment in eternal life, and the world of matter and all in it is but a dream compared to the awakening which we call Death. The Soul is an embryo in the body of man, and the day of Death is the day of Awakening, for it is the rich hour of creation. Death is an ending to the son of the earth, but to the Soul it is the start, the triumph of Life. Death removes the touch, but not the awareness of all good. And he who has lived on spring or more possesses the Spiritual life of one who has lived a score of springs. A Child in the womb, no sooner born than returned to the earth- such is the fate of man, the fate of nations, and of the sun, the moon and the stars.
