Aunty Jane, popularly known as Aunty Awo, was a cheerful, humble, fun-loving princess who was full of life. To us, Aunty Awo was an aunt and a "bigger sister." She was very close to our parents, which meant we got to spend a lot of time with her. She was a very creative person, who taught us some valuable skills--sewing, knitting, singing Ga songs--to name a few. She was a strong woman of faith, who constantly reminded us to pray. And it was indeed a delight to be around her, as she told us funny "tsutsublema stories" and interesting "AAMS Hotel toli." She had a heart of gold and loved us without condition. As we grew older, she became our friend too. She shared in our joys and burdens, offered advice when needed, and simply was there for whatever we needed. To many others, Aunty Awo was a teacher, a mentor, a friend--one who delighted in teaching, counseling, and sharing. She inspired all without reward and loved all without condition. Aunty Awo, we thank God for your life. We love you and will cherish your memories forever. Gone, but not forgotten! Rest in perfect peace! Yaa wo odjogban!
