Memories
Memory by Arden Matheson May 15, 2016 I was very sorry to hear about Jean and will always remember the fun lunches, her humour and wit and great friendship we had at the U of C. My sympathy to her family. Memory by Joan Barlow May 15, 2016 Jan, I was sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I admired your mom's ability to balance her family life and career. May you find comfort in your many memories and the knowledge that she lived a full and long life. Memory by Chris Wiseman May 14, 2016 I'm very sad to hear of Jean's passing. Bob, Colin and Janice I send you my heartfelt sympathies. I think of all the dinner-parties and events we went to, and remember what a generous and happy host Jean was, as well as a woman of character and spirit. She had an eventful life and made the very most of it and I admired her work ethic, her often quite acerbic humor, and her generosity. Bob & Jean - so much part of life in Calgary for Wisemans from the 60s on. She was special. I'm thinking of you all, and especially you Bob. What a loss, but she left so much good and happiness behind her. Chris, Calgary. Memory by Ken Morrison May 13, 2016 I have many wonderful memories of Jean. Although it has been many, many years, the memories of this strong, generous, self-made, amazing woman remain vivid. She was an example and an inspiration to me then and remains so today. I count myself amongst those whose life was made richer by her influence. Memory by Jan Sanford May 12, 2016 We're very sad to hear that Jean has passed away after a well-lived and well-loved life. Robert, please know how much we are thinking of you. ~ Shirley & Bill Onn, Calgary, Alberta Memory by Ann Welch May 12, 2016 I was not able to see Aunty Jean as often as I would have liked once she moved to Alberta and, later, I moved to Virginia. I'll always remember her smile and her wry, common-sense view of life. She was much loved and will be missed by many. Memory by Bettina Jacob May 11, 2016 We feel forever honoured to have been invited by Jan and James Sanford to so many family occasions with Jean and Robert Tener over the years. Jean's wit and incredible sense of humour created countless wonderful memories. We will always cherish her convivial personality and remember our fascinating conversations about foreign politics and travels. You will always live on in the kindness you have shared and the love you have brought into our lives.
May the most precious memories of a beautiful life bring comfort and peace.

"When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not here to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me...
I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say...
I know how much you love me as much as I love you, and each time you think of me, I know you'll miss me, too...
When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart!"
A poem by Alena Hakala Meadows Memory by Chris and Patty May 10, 2016 Our unique and wonderful and articulate Aunt Jean. Her vivacious presence . . . you always knew when she was in the room and it was joy and fun to be around her. With the Rocky Mountain divide between us it was also special to get our annual hug from her at the family party each May. Her love for her family and the importance of family to her was inspiring. She spoke with such pride of Colin, Janice and James and granddaughter Taylor. I can still hear her speak their names with richness in her voice and Robert too.
For Uncle Robert,
"Of a' the airts the wind can blaw, I dearly like the west, For there the bonie lassie lives, The lassie I lo've best: There's wild woods grow, and rivers row, And mony a hill between; But day and night my fancy's flight Is ever wi' my Jean."
. . . Robert and Jean . . . "they clamb the hill the gither"
Blessings on you all !
